Location: Austin or San Antonio, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time

Description:
Structured Trades is seeking skilled Hydronic Pipefitters to join our team on active commercial construction projects. Ideal candidates will have experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing hydronic heating and cooling systems, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and piping distribution systems. Projects may include schools, hospitals, government buildings, and high-rise facilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Layout and install hydronic piping systems per mechanical blueprints and specifications
  • Cut, thread, weld, and assemble pipe using hand and power tools
  • Install boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, expansion tanks, and associated controls
  • Pressure test systems and check for leaks or installation issues
  • Work independently or with a team under the direction of a foreman or superintendent
  • Ensure work complies with local codes, OSHA safety standards, and company protocols
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and schematics
  • Coordinate with other trades as needed on active construction sites

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a pipefitter, with direct experience on hydronic systems
  • Proficient with copper, steel, and PEX piping systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and layout systems independently
  • Knowledge of pipefitting tools, equipment, and materials
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites if required
  • Ability to work 40-60 hours per week, including Saturdays, depending on project needs
