About This Role:
Champion & Nash HVAC is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing team in Pasadena, TX. In this role, you'll lead installation crews, work alongside your team in the field, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional installations, mentoring apprentices, and representing Champion & Nash with professionalism in customers' homes. If you're a skilled installer who takes pride in doing the job right and wants the support to continue growing, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do Here
  • Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish while maintaining quality, safety, and company standards.
  • Install, replace, and service residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
  • Work hands-on with installation teams while providing guidance and support to crew members.
  • Mentor and train apprentices by providing hands-on coaching and development opportunities.
  • Diagnose system issues, complete repairs, and ensure equipment is properly calibrated to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain proper inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment in company vehicles.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide recommendations for system care and maintenance.
  • Complete installations with honesty, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of HVAC installation experience.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring installation teams.
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, components, and installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Experience developing quotes for repairs and replacement equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using tablets and learning job-related software.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to work Saturdays or occasional on-call shifts as needed.

Working Conditions
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move 50+ pounds.
  • Work may include indoor and outdoor environments throughout the year.
