Job Summary - HVAC Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Supervisor to lead our growing service and installation teams across Erie, PA and Jamestown, NY. This full-time leadership role offers a strong compensation package with a path to earning $72K+ annually through hourly pay, commissions, bonuses, and performance incentives.

As an HVAC Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily HVAC operations, supporting technicians in the field, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of results, and is passionate about team development and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have extensive residential and/or commercial HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and proven leadership skills. You will be responsible for managing schedules, mentoring technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support HVAC technicians in daily service, maintenance, and installation operations.

  • Schedule work assignments and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to company quality standards.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system issues and provide technical guidance to field technicians.

  • Ensure compliance with HVAC codes, safety standards, and company procedures.

  • Train, mentor, coach, and evaluate HVAC team members to improve performance and technical skills.

  • Communicate professionally with customers to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor inventory, tools, vehicles, and equipment to maintain operational readiness.

  • Assist with field operations when necessary, including service calls and installations.

  • Support operational planning, workflow efficiency, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate job documentation, reports, and service records.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience in residential and/or commercial environments.

  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience preferred.

  • EPA Certification required or relevant local HVAC licensing.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, installation practices, and safety regulations.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to safely operate HVAC tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in fast-paced environments.

  • Ability to commute or relocate to Erie, PA before starting work.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.

  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools, machinery, and HVAC equipment safely.

  • Ability to distinguish between colors and shades for wiring and system diagnostics.
