Job Title: HVAC / Refrigeration Installer
  • Shift 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Contract to hire
  • $35 to 40/hour pay
  • All work/clients located in the city of Indianapolis.

Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Installers with strong knowledge of refrigeration line installation and system setup. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, inspecting, and connecting refrigeration and evap lines as part of commercial HVAC/R systems. This role requires a Installer who understands the critical importance of proper refrigeration piping to ensure system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial environments
  • Install, route, and secure refrigeration lines and piping according to system specifications
  • Install and connect evaporator coils, condensers, and refrigeration line sets
  • Inspect and pressure test refrigeration lines for leaks and proper installation
  • Braze, solder, and connect copper refrigeration piping
  • Ensure proper insulation, supports, and routing of refrigerant lines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, installation drawings, and system specifications
  • Perform system start-up assistance and verify refrigeration line integrity
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and HVAC industry standards
  • Work with project managers and other trades to complete installations efficiently
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation with refrigeration piping experience
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and line set installation
  • Experience installing evaporator and condenser refrigeration lines
  • Ability to braze copper piping and perform leak testing
  • Ability to read HVAC plans and technical diagrams
  • EPA Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to lift equipment and work on construction job sites
Preferred Experience
  • Commercial refrigeration or HVAC installation
  • VRF/VRV systems or split system installations
  • Start-up support and system commissioning
