Job description

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling, located in Marion, IN, is seeking a full-time HVAC Department Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services. Since 1969, we have built a reputation for quality, affordability, and a commitment to 100% customer satisfaction. The position will play a key role in driving sales, ensuring high-quality service, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support the growth and technical development of the HVAC service and installation teams.
  • Stage, order, and coordinate installation and service repairs to ensure prompt and accurate customer service.
  • Supervise onsite customer issues, ensuring all work meets the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct and lead service training meetings twice weekly, focusing on communication and technical skills.
  • Report weekly to the HVAC Manager regarding departmental needs and progress.
  • Uphold and enforce company safety programs, including attending or leading safety meetings.
  • Manage the on-call schedule for the department, ensuring coverage and clear communication with the team and management.
  • Maintain proper stock levels and oversee warranty processing to align with company standards.
  • Contribute to building maintenance and shop organization.
  • Promote a positive, supportive work environment and address any field issues proactively with management.
  • Lead by example in professionalism, customer service, and adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Accurately document system information, services performed, customer discussions, and job notes for each service call.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in HVAC service, installation, or management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • General computer proficiency for reporting and scheduling.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a Background, Driving, & Drug Screening
