What is a hunter?

Hunters are individuals who track, pursue, and harvest wild animals for food, sport, population control, or conservation purposes. They typically use firearms, bows, or other hunting tools and must follow local laws and regulations regarding hunting seasons, licensing, and protected species. Hunters also play a role in wildlife management by helping to maintain ecological balance and supporting conservation efforts through permit fees and participation in habitat restoration programs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a professional hunter?

To thrive as a professional hunter, you need expert knowledge of wildlife behavior, tracking, and local regulations, often supported by hunting licenses or certifications. Proficiency with firearms or bows, GPS devices, and safety equipment is typically required. Strong observational skills, patience, and ethical judgment are vital soft skills to excel in this field. These abilities ensure responsible, safe, and effective hunting practices that comply with legal and conservation standards.

What are some common challenges faced by professional hunters in the field?

Professional hunters often encounter challenges such as adapting to unpredictable weather conditions, tracking elusive or migratory game, and ensuring compliance with local wildlife laws and ethical hunting practices. They must also maintain their physical endurance during long hours in rugged terrain and prioritize safety for themselves and their team. Additionally, hunters frequently collaborate with landowners, wildlife officials, and clients, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.

Job description

About Trustero
Trustero is the AI-driven advisor for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Powered by a patented multi-agent AI architecture and our proprietary Trust Graph, Trustero automates evidence collection, control monitoring, gap analysis, and security questionnaire response - helping security, compliance, and risk teams get and stay audit-ready across frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, PCI DSS, SOX, and more. Enterprise, mid-market, and MSSPs use Trustero to turn GRC from a manual, reactive burden into a continuous, AI-powered program. Learn more at trustero.com.
The Role
Trustero is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to fuel our top-of-funnel pipeline growth across the US and EU territories. This is a pure hunter role - you will be responsible for sourcing, mapping, and opening doors at target enterprise and mid-market accounts. You'll engage security, compliance, risk, and IT leaders (CISOs, Heads of GRC, VPs of Security) who are actively seeking ways to modernize and scale their GRC programs through AI.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for an ambitious pipeline builder who thrives on multi-channel cold outreach, strategic account mapping, and qualifying high-value sales opportunities in a fast-moving market.
What You'll Do
  • Prospect and generate qualified sales meetings/opportunities through outbound multi-channel outreach (cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn, and video touchpoints).
  • Own the initial stages of the sales funnel, mapping target accounts and identifying key decision-makers across security, compliance, risk, and IT departments.
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations to evaluate fit, pain points, and buyer readiness, effectively qualifying leads before handing them off to Account Executives.
  • Build a solid baseline understanding of buyers' compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST, PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR) to articulate how Trustero's multi-agent AI delivers ROI and continuous audit readiness.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to execute strategic account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and targeted territory campaigns.
  • Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, tracking touchpoints, account intelligence, and opportunity handoffs in Salesforce/HubSpot.
  • Represent Trustero at virtual events and industry webinars, following up rapidly on leads to convert interest into qualified meetings.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targets for qualified meetings set and opportunities generated.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven hunter mentality: a track record of high-volume, quality outbound prospecting and self-sourcing meetings in B2B tech/SaaS.
  • 1-3 years of outbound business development or sales development experience (SDR/BDR), ideally within cybersecurity, GRC/compliance, or enterprise software.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex enterprise org charts and comfortably initiate conversations with executive buyers (CISO, CCO, VP/Head of GRC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to deliver concise, compelling value propositions.
  • Familiarity with modern sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo) and CRM platforms.
  • Relentless curiosity, high emotional intelligence, and resilience in handling objections and building dynamic cold touchpoints.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages (e.g., German, French) are a major plus for EU territory coverage.

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience prospecting for AI-native, cybersecurity, or SaaS compliance platforms.
  • Basic understanding of GRC frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.) or security workflows.
  • Experience running account-based outbound motions against Fortune 2000 or mid-market accounts.
