Job description

Vision for the Role:  The Registration Assistant plays a vital role in facilitating a smooth and distraction-free guest experience. This individual serves as a positive first point of contact for campers and guests by answering phone calls and providing front desk assistance in the Hume Lake Welcome Center. This Registration Assistant helps the Registrar Team with weekly camper check-ins and performs general administrative duties.

The Role:

  • Duties include assisting the Registrars with phone calls, computer input, registration check-ins, interacting with guests in the Welcome Center, and possibly assisting in the management of the Hume Post Office. 
  • Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
  • Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and act in a professional manner.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of employment.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision.
  • Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith.
  • Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift 25 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job.
  • Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.
