  Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, paid for by the applicant.

Experience Desired:
Custodial experience is desired.
Other Requirements:
Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and good interpersonal and positive human relations skills.  Ability to work alone and be self-motivated.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders to heights of 6 feet. Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally required to lift up to 70 pounds and carry for a distance of 50 feet and stack 4 feet high.  Walk stairs unaided in a multilevel facility. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.  Must be able to read and understand labels and schedules. Requires working in all conditions which may contain dust and paint or chemical odors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: 
  1. Cleans assigned school or district facilities (e.g. classrooms, offices, restrooms, lunch rooms, halls, carpets, removes graffiti, windows, walls, bleachers, stage, locker and toilet room sanitation, kitchen, sidewalks, grounds, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment at a School or District Office.
  2. Distributes supplies, equipment, etc. (e.g. fill soap dispensers, towel/toilet paper dispensers, packages, furniture, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating materials to appropriate parties and/or locations.
  3. Prepares facility for daily operations as may be required (e.g. opening gates, raising flags, unlocking doors, removing snow, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring facilities are operational and safe for occupancy.
  4. Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g. facility damage, unauthorized persons, alarms, etc.) for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve immediate safety issues and maintaining a functioning educational environment.
  5. Secures facilities as assigned (e.g. locks doors, turns off lights, sets alarm, etc.) for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and/or potential liability.
  6. Arranges furnishings and equipment (e.g. tables, chairs, bleachers, etc.) for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for meetings, classroom activities and special events.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned daily by the Director of Operational Services or designee.
