Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Intern supports the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives across demand generation, events, digital marketing, and product marketing for IGEN, a division of U.S. Venture. This role provides hands-on experience working with a collaborative B2B marketing team while assisting with event coordination, project management, marketing operations, and campaign execution.
Working closely with members of the marketing team, the Marketing Intern helps keep projects organized, supports marketing activities, and contributes to the successful execution of campaigns, events, and customer communications.
This internship will be located onsite in Appleton, WI. This internship will ideally start in August 2026 with the ability to work part-time during the semester and full-time during breaks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with planning and coordination of in-person and virtual events, including logistics, registration management, promotional materials, shipping, and post-event follow-up.
  • Support marketing project management by documenting action items, tracking assigned tasks, coordinating meetings, and assisting the marketing team in keeping projects on schedule.
  • Assist with maintaining marketing calendars, campaign schedules, and event timelines.
  • Help organize and maintain marketing assets, presentations, sales collateral, and digital files.
  • Assist with creation and formatting of presentations, marketing documents, and sales materials.
  • Support website updates by reviewing pages for accuracy, spelling and grammar, and assisting with routine content maintenance.
  • Assist with webinar preparation, attendee communications, and post-event activities.
  • Draft social media posts and assist with social media scheduling under the direction of the marketing team.
  • Conduct basic market, customer, and competitor research to support marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with data entry, list management, and CRM updates as needed.
  • Support reporting activities by gathering marketing, event, and campaign data for internal reporting.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools to improve productivity while creating, organizing, and formatting marketing content and materials under supervision.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Junior or Senior status preferred.
  • Strong interest in B2B marketing, digital marketing, event marketing, or product marketing.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other creative tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and digital marketing concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with AI-enabled tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot is a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress, HubSpot, or other marketing platforms is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking initiative on assigned projects.
