Job description

Eventide Crete in Crete, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work PRN/as needed. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for enhancing the living experience for Eventide's Seniors/residents/clients by performing various care activities and related services as described and in compliance with the comprehensive care plan/service plan objectives. While doing so they will contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of Seniors/clients through respectful, professional, competent and personable interaction.
Essential Functions
  1. Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
  2. Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
  3. Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
  4. Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
  5. Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
  6. Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual Senior/client.
  7. Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
  8. Implements activities for the Seniors/clients.
  9. Prepares, plates and serves meals, snacks and other foods requested by/for/to Senior/client.
  10. Assists with cleanup of the dining room and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.

Ideal Candidate
  • COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Eventide's discretion.
  • AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 18.
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
  • Credentials: CNA certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required. MA-40 certification preferred. If utilizing MA-40 certification, CPR is required. All certifications must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee. Must meet Eventide's vaccination requirements.

Compensation
At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $18-20.16 per hour for CNAs based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
