Job Summary

The Manager, HR Business Partner will be responsible for leading all HR functions in alignment with business objectives at their assigned station(s). This role will assist in promoting positive relations between the associates and management at Swissport that aligns with the company’s philosophy, overall strategy, federal, state and local law. This role will promote, implement and lead all HR initiatives for consistency and continuous process improvements by coaching, driving business results and ensuring compliance. This role will mitigate risks for Swissport collectively and independently in designated region.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Manager, HR Business Partner will have direct reporting relationship and supervisory responsibilities of HR staff at assigned station(s)


The expected pay rate is $90,000-$100,000/yr. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.  

Your activities

  • Provide day-to-day support and counsel to employees, supervisors, and managers regarding HR best practices, policy interpretation, policies, HR compliance and appropriate workplace
  • Support performance processes including annual reviews, 1:1 meeting(s) with direct reports, introductory reviews, and performance management for exempt and non-exempt
  • Evaluate the culture and work environment at stations and make recommendations to station leadership for improvement.
  • Ensure consistent application of all Swissport policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local
  • Safeguard compliance with local badging authorities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders at a local, regional, and country level.
  • Assist in leading issues raised through assigned employment relations, Open Door or Speak Up cases. Investigate accordingly, document findings, respond and take corrective action as appropriate.
  • Ensure and audit compliance of state employment law, federal employment law and local regulations of assigned stations. Assist in preparing responses to HR regulated governmental agencies such as, EEOC and Human Rights Commission and
  • Keeps abreast and maintains in-depth knowledge of new employment law and HR trends
  • May assist in coordinating or will coordinate and conduct other training that aligns with policies and practices as required.
  • Responsible for performing other related duties, assigned tasks or strategic tactical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field/discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources
  • Previous experience of supervising and evaluating the work of others
  • Proven track record of working with integrity and confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of employee relations and all areas of human resources
  • Basic knowledge of SharePoint and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate position with clarity at all levels
  • Ability to obtain commitment from internal and external stakeholders
  • High energy and high motivation, with tolerance for stressful situations
  • Strong work ethic with a can-do, self-starting attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
