Job Purpose

As theHR - Total Rewards - Corporate Intern, you will work closely with the Director of Total Rewards to support the evaluation, development, and implementation, of Total Rewards - Compensation and Benefits programs. At Albany we are committed to elevating the employee experience through a Total Rewards structure to enhance their benefits, equitable compensation and job structure that allows them to grow.This role offers the unique opportunity to interact with colleagues across various business units and functions at Albany.

Responsibilities & Key Areas
  • Along with the responsibilities listed below, the Total Rewards Intern will be responsible for a project to enhance Albany International's Total Rewards Initiatives.
  • Assist in generation of training materials: Support the design and creation of training materials and presentations for Albany's employee benefits programs.
  • Assist with plan management: Develop processes to monitor the cost of employee benefit programs and ensure on-going compliance with Albany's procurement policies.
  • Invoicing Support: Create a PO and invoice tracking process for the Total Rewards department.
  • Data Management & Reporting:Help maintain records and reports of total rewards activities, and feedback.
  • Employee Feedback & Evaluation: Gather feedback from employees and help analyze results to improve future training programs.
  • Market Research:Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in Total Rewards, suggesting new approaches for the company's programs.
  • Team Player:Willingness to collaborate and support in additional tasks that arise within the HR team, depending on the company's needs and the intern's experience.
  • Other activities as needed.
Preferred Experience / Characteristics / Competencies & EducationQualifications:Education and Experience:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Location: Portsmouth, NH, full-time in office, 9/80 schedule: Week 1: 9 hours Mon-Thu, 8 hours Friday. Week 2: Work 9 hours Mon-Thu.
Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications
  • Strong interest in HR Subjects related to Total Rewards: Compensation, Benefits.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.
  • Basic understanding of human resources principles and practices, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
