HR & Payroll Support

Fresh Dining Concepts | Coral Gables, FL | Full-Time, Office Hours Monday–Friday

Fresh Dining Concepts is looking for an organized, dependable HR & Payroll Support to join team. This is a great entry point into an HR or Payroll career: you'll work closely with, and under the direction of, our Payroll Manager and HR Manager, learning the ropes while helping with day-to-day tasks like processing paperwork, updating employee records, and answering common employee questions. If you're a quick learner who enjoys structure, follows clear processes well, and wants hands-on training in HR and Payroll, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Help the Payroll Teamdispla with the bi-weekly payroll process, such as reviewing timecards and attendance records and entering new hire, termination, pay change, and deduction information as directed.
  • Answer routine, everyday payroll/HR questions from employees, and pass along anything more complex to the Payroll or HR Manager.
  • Help gather documents and information needed for payroll audits and year-end processing.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding paperwork, including helping collect I-9 and other required documents to ensure checklists are at 100%.
  • Update and file employee records and HRIS entries accurately.
  • Help with recruiting tasks like posting jobs, sending candidate emails, and creating job requisitions.
  • Support HR with employment verifications and unemployment claim submissions.
  • Work alongside the HR and Payroll teams, and with Operations and other departments, while keeping employee information confidential.
  • Assist the payroll/HR teams with projects as they arise.
What You'll Bring
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • Some prior experience in an office, customer service, or administrative setting (payroll or HR experience is a plus)
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for everyday tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Friendly, professional communication with employees and coworkers.
  • Trustworthy with confidential information.
  • A team player who is eager to learn, takes direction well, and asks questions when unsure.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to Paycom or a similar payroll/HCM system.
  • Any prior experience helping with payroll or HR tasks.
