Job Description

Position Summary

The Human Resources Project Manager / HR Operations Specialist is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing Human Resources projects and organizational initiatives across the AFC&D organization. This role combines strong project management expertise with targeted HR operational support to ensure successful implementation of business priorities, HR programs, and organizational changes.

This position serves as the primary HR project execution resource, ensuring initiatives are planned, tracked, and delivered effectively using established project management methodologies and tools. In addition, the role provides HR operational support to the Corporate HR business partners to enable execution of AFC&D HR priorities.

This role will primarily partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and business leaders to support implementation of enterprise HR programs and AFC&D-specific initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management (Primary Responsibility)

  • Lead HR projects from initiation through implementation and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk logs.
  • Manage execution of multiple concurrent HR initiatives across AFC&D.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and implementation checkpoints.
  • Track progress against deliverables and ensure accountability for completion.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as appropriate.
  • Develop project dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries.
  • Support change management and communication planning for HR initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent use of project management tools, documentation, and governance standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution and alignment.

HR Operations & Implementation Support (Targeted Scope)

  • Support implementation activities tied to HR-led initiatives and organizational changes.
  • Coordinate documentation and execution tracking for HR projects and deliverables.
  • Maintain project-related records, action logs, and implementation materials.
  • Support preparation of leadership presentations and HR initiative updates.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing data required for HR project execution.
  • Track completion of assigned actions related to HR initiatives and business commitments.
  • Support standardization of HR processes through documentation and implementation support.

Project Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain HR project portfolio dashboards and tracking tools.
  • Provide visibility to leadership on project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Prepare recurring updates for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain centralized documentation for HR initiatives and deliverables.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of project data and reporting.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, HR processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Recommend enhancements to tools, workflows, and reporting methods.
  • Support adoption of standardized project management practices across HR initiatives.
  • Leverage technology and automation to improve execution and tracking.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Provide support for AFC&D HR initiatives as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience

  • 2+ years of project management experience required.
  • Experience supporting HR initiatives, organizational change, or business transformation preferred.
  • Strong experience using project management tools and methodologies required.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $0 to $0; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $0 to $0 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits. The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting.
