Job description

Job Title: HR Generalist / 3rd Shift Location: Rockingham, NC Type: Direct Hire Compensation: Work Model: Onsite Hours: 11pm - 8am

Responsibilities

  • Administer the company approved new hire orientation program, ensuring effective and timely onboarding of new associates.
  • Establish and foster working relationships with management and associates to promote a cooperative work environment.
  • Participate in the resolution of workplace conflicts, coaching and counseling supervisors on improving absenteeism, turnover, and plant efficiencies.
  • Ensure consistent policy application in resolving issues; provide training on policies and procedures to supervisory personnel.
  • Schedule, facilitate, audit, and identify new methods to enhance new hire orientation processes.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to supervisory personnel to improve workforce management capabilities.
  • Participate in Peer Review and Management Review processes.
  • Design, train, implement, and audit new methods aimed at reducing turnover.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for payroll, benefits, and other general HR related questions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR related experience.
  • Proven success in writing, updating, and auditing Affirmative Action Plans; thorough knowledge of I-9 requirements; experience with ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP regulations and current laws.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred); experience in problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orienting new associates required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated team player with coaching skills and strong customer orientation.
  • May require occasional travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.
