POSITION SUMMARY

Supports the Human Resources Department by assisting in and completing the hourly recruitment for all plant locations. Assist with payroll processing and benefit audits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Post and maintain job boards, reviews applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.

Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and refer them to hiring personnel.

Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.

Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.

Conduct new hire orientation.

Assists with processing the weekly payroll for hourly employees, and semi-monthly exempt in absence of Human Resources Manager or Human Resources Director.

Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to job applicants or employees.

Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, employment verifications, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.

Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references to determine applicants' employment acceptability.

Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.

Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.

Prepare badges, passes, and identification cards, and perform other security-related duties.

Supports all plant safety policies and procedures and may conduct training as needed.

Assist with service vendors for vending machines.

Handles receptionist duties to include mail, switchboard, and paging in absence of receptionist.

Oversees Human Resources Department in absence of Human Resource Manager and Director.


EDUCATION

High School Diploma/GED, Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) preferred. Bachelors a plus.

EXPERIENCE

Two to four years related Human Resources’ experience

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Adobe, Photoshop, ADP Payroll, HRIS, Excel

Certificates & Licenses

Valid TN driver's license.

Current CPR/First Aid certification helpful.

Notary or ability to obtain within 6 months
