About The Opportunity

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted HR partner, supporting a variety of human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, workforce planning, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic support with day-to-day employee interaction.
What You'll Do
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Support
  • Lead hourly and temporary recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Partner with leaders to support workforce planning and staffing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting and employment documentation.
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
  • Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors, helping navigate workplace concerns and employee relations matters.
  • Assist with investigations and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
Benefits, Payroll & HR Administration
  • Administer payroll-related activities, including attendance, vacation tracking, and wage changes.
  • Support employees through benefit enrollment and changes, answering questions and providing education on available programs.
  • Promote health, wellness, and employee assistance programs.
Performance & Employee Development
  • Coordinate and administer the hourly performance review process.
  • Support employee development initiatives and recognition programs.
Culture & Community Engagement
  • Lead employee involvement initiatives and engagement programs.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities, employee events, and activities that foster a strong workplace culture.
  • Help create an environment where employees feel valued, connected, and empowered.
Compliance & HR Excellence
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support adherence to company ethics, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as a backup to the Human Resources Manager as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties that contribute to organizational success.

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Union environment experience (where applicable)
  • Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, and HR compliance initiatives
Travel
  • Occasional travel (5% to 10%)
