SUMMARY
The Senior Human Resources Generalist contributes to the overall goals and objectives of SSTAR'S Human Resources Team, as well as, supporting daily HR operations by administering HR programs, recruiting and retaining talent, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and promoting employee engagement. This role partners with leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, and HR initiatives while supporting recruitment, onboarding, HR reporting, audits, and process improvements.
Salary: $67,017 - $82,014 per year
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Support the implementation of Human Resources (HR) policies and programs.
• Administer or work in conjunction with subject matter experts (CHRO & Director of HR) regarding HR policies and procedures, including employee benefits, wage increases, retirement, etc.
• Source, recruit, interview and select quality employees to staff various positions.
• Act as primary driver of hourly/salary recruitment and retention activities to include. development of staffing plans and the growth of recruitment sources; analyze data to improve quality of recruitment sources.
• Partnering with Human Resources and operational leaders to support workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Maintain knowledge of employment regulations such as FMLA, ADA, PFML, FLSA, EEO and OSHA.
• Act as first line liaison with employees, facilitating resolution of employee concerns.
• HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend solutions to management.
• Participates in the overview of performance reviews and reviews career plans for employees in conjunction with their direct reports.
• Participate in the overview of full-cycle payroll process and record keeping ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with benefits enrollment (medical, dental, voluntary benefits, vacation, sick time, paid holidays) and be contact for employee benefits questions.
• Assist with salary administration and compensation analysis.
• Participates in strategic HR planning.
• Provide guidance to the HR Recruiter.

Experience and Skills
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • 4-7 years of experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to effectively write complex communications
  • Highly organized, self-motivated with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage time well
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven critical thinking and project management skills with an attention to detail and strong time-management
  • Proficiency in using MS Windows applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Preferred knowledge and experience with systems and technology that support HR Shared services
  • Previous experience working in the development and implementation of HR programs and processes is a plus
  • Successful and professional ability to influence and educate employees at all organizational levels
  • Effectively prepare and execute employee relations investigations and other highly confidential and sensitive assignments and projects as required
  • Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
  • Self-motivator with ability to work independently
