Job description

M&K Truck Centers is a multi-state leader in commercial truck sales, leasing, parts, and service with over 1,200 employees across multiple locations. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support our South West District in Indiana.

This role is ideal for a strategic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys partnering with leaders at all levels to drive business results, strengthen culture, and elevate the employee experience.

Position Overview

As a trusted advisor to regional leadership, the HR Manager will play a key role in aligning people strategies with business objectives. You will collaborate across functions to support workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and positive employee relations across multiple dealership locations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, providing guidance on organizational design, talent strategy, and workforce planning

  • Coach and develop leaders at all levels on performance management, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness

  • Analyze workforce data and trends to provide actionable insights that support employee attraction, retention, and engagement

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to develop and implement people programs aligned with business goals

  • Lead and support employee relations initiatives, ensuring a positive, compliant, and inclusive work environment

  • In-depth decision-making and negotiation skills; demonstrated an ability to recognize alternatives, evaluate relevant information, and make decisions and recommendations with a high sense of urgency.

  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and leadership to support labor planning, forecasting, and resource optimization

  • Ability to learn and use ADP Workforce Now.

  • Apply sound judgment and influence to drive timely and effective decision-making

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented HR professional

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within Indiana, with occasional travel to other M&K dealerships

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making (Excel, Google Sheets)

  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now, SuccessFactors, Kronos, etc.)

  • Proven success in a multi-site or field-based environment (e.g., manufacturing, automotive, dealership, or service industry)


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR leadership or management role
