Job Description Summary
The Behavior Technician (BT) provides direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. The BT works in a clinic setting under the supervision of a BCBA to implement individualized treatment plans and behavior programs. This role focuses on promoting skill acquisition, reducing challenging behaviors, and enhancing the overall quality of life for clients and their families.

Essential Functions
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy following BCBA-designed skill acquisition and behavior-reduction protocols.
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies, collect and graph daily data, and write objective session notes per regulatory and company standards.
  • Receive and apply ongoing training, supervision, and feedback from the BCBA/manager to ensure high-quality program implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with the BCBA, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress and assist with caregiver training as directed.
  • Follow all company procedures and legal/regulatory requirements related to client safety, documentation, data handling, confidentiality, and HIPAA.
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold client dignity at all times.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Knowledge of ABA, human behavior, and performance.
  • Knowledge of industry terminology.

Work Environment, Physical Conditions
  • Must be physically present at the assigned job location at least 20 hours per week.
  • Able to comply with practice policies and procedures and the ethical guidelines of RBTs.
  • Must have a mobile device (such as a smartphone or tablet) to bring to work.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of physical and often repetitive activities including (but not limited to) standing and sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must exhibit satisfactory manual dexterity, auditory, and visual skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to or more than 100lbs.
