Description

HUD Compliance Specialist is needed for Sycamore Meadows.  


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Auditing move-in and recertification files to determine household eligibility with HUD Public Housing, HUD Project-Based Section 8, IRS Tax Credit and all other affordable housing program and agency requirements

Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan updates

Affordable Rent Schedule Preparation

Preparation and timely, accurate responses to Management & Occupancy Reviews, state audits and all other regulatory agency reviews

Preparation and submission of timely, accurate REAC, UPCS, and NSPIRE physical inspection discrepancy responses

Identifying potential areas of compliance risks and vulnerabilities and recommending changes to the Compliance Director

Updating affordable housing software with income/rent limits, gross rent changes and other compliance-related entries

Complete Annual/Quarterly Reports for City/State Compliance Monitoring Agencies.

Provide affordable housing compliance-related training to on-site staff


EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

Excellent communicator with in-depth knowledge of the latest affordable housing industry procedures and regulations

Minimum of 2 years' expert level experience in a compliance role or similar position involving affordable housing compliance monitoring, tenant file eligibility audits, and property compliance reviews

HUD, LIHTC Knowledge 

Expert level knowledge and experience calculating income, assets and rent

Affordable housing program certifications such as COS, CPO, TCS, HCCP, etc.

Fair Housing training

Proficiency with OneSite property management software
