The Supply Chain Coordinator II develops and maintains integrated production planning and scheduling that encompasses materials to ensure that supply targets are met. This position is responsible for ordering and buying materials as well as tracking production and material consumption in the applicable system and tools.

Job Description
Major Accountabilities:
  • Develops and supports component and raw material plans to enable the successful completion of the manufacturing plan.
  • Maintains adequate levels of material in support of the manufacturing organization while adhering to corporate inventory objectives.
  • Develops processes that enhance the materials process while streamlining day-to-day operations.
  • Utilizes MPS tools to collect, track, and communicate metrics regarding the supply chain such as on-time delivery, cycle times, level loading of work, or right the first-time work.
  • Buys materials to ensure that inventory levels adequately to meet supply targets while adhering to company corporate inventory objectives.
  • Promotes, supports, and implements efficient usage of ERP system within the scope of Material Planning activities.
  • Provides system expertise to ensure all item setup, batch formulas, material allocation, consumption transactions, and other system activities are complete.
  • Ensures material availability by coordinating delivery and release with the Supply Chain Materials Planning, Warehouse, and QA/QC, teams while helping to resolve any problems associated with availability.
  • Ensures the Materials Requirements Planning System (MRP) and applicable tools are commensurate with the corporate Master Production Schedule.
  • Provides representation at client and project team meetings to maximize the material's ability to meet client expectations as applicable.
  • Manages communications with GMP vendors including vendor open order reports, order confirmations, expediting activities, returns to vendor, current lead times, and PO revisions.
  • Support excess inventory reporting and site to site transfers of materials to and from the company's Global network.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional planning and scheduling leadership with both internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • Proven oral and written technical communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize tools required for scheduling/planning.
  • Goal-oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associates Degree with 5+ years related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 2+ years of related experience in planning/scheduling, materials management, purchasing, and/or project management experience OR
  • Master's degree with no previous experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 2-5 years' experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) Certification - CPIM or CSCP

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time (60 minutes)
  • Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions that include wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 33lbs
