Job description

The Grove's Hub Ministry creates an inviting environment for visitors, church members, and guests. The Hub Cafe & Coffee Bar is a fun and fast-paced cafe and coffee shop that provides excellent service during busy times at the church. We are looking for smiling faces and energetic, loving individuals to join our team. No experience is necessary, as full training is provided, but a willing spirit and heart to serve others is a must.

Reports to: Events & Ministry Operations Assistant Director

Works with: Hub employees, baristas, and volunteers

Works: Part time, hourly, approximately 10-15 hours per week,
Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri: 7:00 AM - 12:30 PM; Wed: 6:30 AM - 1:30 PM

FOOD - 75%
  • Make all specialty drinks available in the coffee bar to serve to customers.
  • Warm pastries and food items available for purchase.
  • Clean and maintain equipment in coffee bar, as well as the Hub and dining areas.
  • Perform frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service in all cafe areas.
  • Wash dishes as necessary.
  • Ensure sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas; comply with all health and safety regulations.

  • Set up banquet facilities when needed.
  • Serve buffet lines.
  • Clean and maintain all front of house, kitchen area, and equipment.
  • Deep cleaning of kitchen, walk-in freezer, and Hub areas once per week.
  • Stock supplies from the back of house to the front of house once per week.
  • Receive orders when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Riverside County Food Handler's Permit (may test for after position acquired)
