Job description

Ensure that Site Management Team and supervisors commit to scheduling, personnel, and

resources for meeting HSE objectives.

Will ensure that the Site Management Team and supervisors participate, actively participate,

and exercise leadership in their respective individual and collective project HSE meetings,

Assist HSE audit reviews of the site with the Site HSE Manager and others,

Will coordinate with the HSE Team and help facilitate the weekly HSE meetings,

Will set a personal example and assist in the proactive promotion of HSE as a personal

objective,

Will actively participate in HSE initiatives,

Actively participate in HSE inspections/audits,

Participate in accident investigations for any injuries which could lead to lost time or highpotential

incidents,

Ensures Brown & Root meets its legal obligations on HSE matters.

Overall coordination of the disciplines and areas under their control with a view to eliminating

any interface problems,

Actively participate in all HSE awareness training and safety initiatives,

Review workforce acknowledgement of work or activities they believe as being 'at risk' or

unsafe,

Be fully conversant with Brown & Root's HSE Rules.

Lead investigations of any accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences with a view to

establishing the true root causes and making recommendations for the prevention of

recurrences.

Oversee the New Employee Site Orientation for all site employees,

Assist Supervision in specific job training programs,

Train supervision in accident and incident investigations,

Conduct periodic site audits,

Accompany any on-site visits or investigations by regulatory agencies,

Assist in revisions to Site HSE Plan,

Advise, assist, and support the site in achieving a world-class Site HSE performance,

Ensure Brown & Root complies with their statutory HSE responsibilities,

Ensure compliance with the Site's HSE Policy, Procedures, and Practices,

Plan and manage the Site HSE function for the attainment of HSE objectives,

Act as focal point for liaison with the representatives of

subcontractors' management onsite who are responsible for health and safety matters, to

ensure effective communication, cooperation, and coordination occurs between the parties.

Monitor Site HSE Performance,

Develop core HSE Strategies, Procedures, Instructions, etc.,

Prepare the Site HSE Plans and Procedures,

Implement a training program that addresses the requirements established for the site along

with site specific skill training,

Establish safety committees representing the management and the workforce. The HSE

Committee will meet periodically, to discuss safety issues and make recommendations.

Review the audit results of the site to identify HSE issues and deficiencies, and to advise The

Site Manager of the findings,

Audit the site against this plan and report back to the Site Manager on any issues or concerns,

Coordinate the investigation of any incident (recordable, lost time, near miss, property

damage, etc., as necessary),

Identify any trends relevant to incident investigations that become apparent and to ensure that

remedial actions have been agreed, and corrective action performed and recorded,

Implement a structured site HSE audit process to cover all work at the site,

Create and implement any procedures that are required,

Monitor the performance of the HSE program and initiatives introduced throughout the site,

Perform and update assessments of health risks,

Manage and control the use of site first aid facilities,

Liaise with local medical facilities (Hospitals, Doctor),

College Degree, or Professional Training - specific to HSE validation
