Detailed Description

  • Lead and supervise a team of HSE employees across one or more specialized domains (Field Safety, DOT compliance, Drug & Alcohol programs, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards; escalate issues as needed
  • Take decisive action to protect personnel and the environment, including stopping unsafe operations when necessary
  • Communicate critical updates such as changes in driver status or compliance requirements to relevant stakeholders
  • Oversee and enforce corporate standards related to drug and alcohol screening and reporting
  • Conduct investigations into incidents, worksite conditions, and compliance issues to determine root cause
  • Identify causes of non-compliance, including driver disqualification or operational deficiencies
  • Mentor, coach, and train HSE personnel to ensure consistent performance and development
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support compliance efforts

Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, legal codes, and government compliance standards
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert within assigned HSE domain
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Understanding of business processes, resource allocation, and strategic planning

Minimum Qualifications

Additional Details (Working Conditions & Physical Demands)

Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Regular standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 20 lbs). Requires visual acuity, hearing, and verbal communication. Exposure to outdoor environmental conditions and industrial hazards (equipment, vehicles, chemicals, etc.). Work may occur in both indoor and outdoor environments. Travel required up to 25%. May be required to work shifts longer than 8 hours
