We are seeking a talented, dedicated individual committed to work under the highest ethical standards for the following position:

  • HSE Manager

On-Site | Lebanon, Indiana | 2022 Week Contract | Anticipated Start: July 20, 2026

Description:

The HSE Manager will lead all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities for a major pharmaceutical construction and installation project in Lebanon, Indiana. This role will serve as the dedicated safety supervisor for a site workforce of approximately 2530 personnel and will be fully dedicated to HSE oversight, with full stop-work authority and no direct craft labor responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture throughout all site activities.
  • Serve as the primary HSE point of contact with the client and management.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, safety observations, and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and other relevant procedures.
  • Exercise stop-work authority whenever unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed.
  • Conduct orientations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing training.
  • Oversee permit-to-work activities including LOTO, confined space entry, hot work, rigging and lifting, electrical safety, and work at heights.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and qualification activities from an HSE perspective.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain all HSE documentation, reports, permits, and records.
  • Manage contractor and subcontractor safety performance.
  • Support environmental compliance, waste management, and housekeeping programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of construction, industrial, or pharmaceutical safety experience.
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical, life sciences, semiconductor, data center, or large projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
  • Experience with contractor management and permit-to-work systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, OSHA 500, or equivalent professional safety certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
