Job description

HRIS Manager

Reports to Global Head of HR Operations * Troy, Michigan

Versigent designs and delivers the systems that move power through modern technology. From vehicles to robotics to energy platforms, our electrical distribution systems enable the next generation of electrified, automatedand connected products.

As a standalone company, we combine deep engineeringexpertisewith the speed and focus needed to solve increasingly complex challenges. Our teams move quickly, think withprecisionand deliver at scale - helping customers do more without adding cost, weightor complexity.

What defines us is how we work: with the agility and momentum of a startup, backed by the experience and discipline of a proven global leader. That combination creates an environment where ideas movefaster, ownership is real and impact is visible.

YOUR ROLE

You run the HR systems that carry our global processes, and the specialist team that configures and maintains them. You turn requests from process owners and the business into working, stable configuration, and you run the team as a visible, responsive service, never a black box.

  • You will build and run the systems while the estate is live and changing
  • You will run the team as a visible service, not a black box: the business knows how to raise a request, how you prioritize, and when it will land
  • You will take the process owners' specifics and make them real in the system
  • You will hand code and interfaces to IT and manage the backlog so change stays controlled
  • You will keep the system landscape one connected whole, not a set of local tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The HR system landscape behind our global processes: Workday first, then the wider stack as it grows, including case management and the floor kiosk
  • A clear service delivery structure for change: how requests come in from the business, how they are prioritized, and how status stays visible from request to release
  • System product ownership: turning process and business requirements into clear, prioritized configuration
  • A single visible backlog and clean, controlled change
  • Configuration and maintenance across the landscape, inside the systems' setup, not in code
  • System stability, releases, and user support
  • Vendor and managed-service oversight for the systems in scope

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • A strong customer focus: you treat the business and the process owners as customers, and you make the team's work visible, prioritized, and easy to engage
  • Experience setting up service delivery and intake: request management, clear prioritization, and transparent status
  • Strong hands-on configuration and system product-ownership experience
  • Discipline to work inside the system's configuration and hand code and interfaces to IT, keeping the boundary clean
  • Precision and delivery focus, steady in ambiguity, organized under load, comfortable across time zones and willing to travel internationally

QUALIFICATIONS

  • About 8+ years in HRIS or Workday roles, several configuring and running Workday in a global environment.
  • Workday certifications
  • Service-management or ticketing experience for request intake and prioritization
  • Carve-out or tenant-separation experience
  • Case management and frontline or kiosk tools
  • Experience growing a systems team as the stack expands
  • Local resident of Metro Detroit or ability to relocate
  • Valid U.S. Passport with ability to travel globally

DELIVERABLES IN YEAR ONE

  • A configured, stable system landscape that supports the standard processes
  • A published service delivery structure the business understands: how to raise a request, how it is prioritized, and when it will be delivered
  • Change requests delivered reliably, with status visible end to end, so the team is never a black box
  • The specialist team stood up in Pune and delivering to a consistent standard
  • A clean handoff to IT for anything that touches code or interfaces, so the boundary is never blurred

WHY JOIN US?

  • Grow with purpose. We invest in our people by creating opportunities to build skills, take on new challenges, and develop over time.
  • Do work that shows up in the real world. What you contribute herepowerssystems that are critical to how industriesoperateand evolve. The impact is visible and lasting.
