Job description

Job Description Assist the Human Resources Department in the effective and timely administration of talent acquisition efforts, and one or more additional areas including but not limited to employee benefits administration, employee relations, responding to requests for accommodation, leadership and business skills training, and/or performance management. Examples of Duties Performs full cycle recruiting tasks for assigned exempt and nonexempt personnel. Reviews job descriptions and requirements with hiring managers and determines appropriate channels for recruiting.

Serves as an administrator for the job requisition approval process and applicant tracking system. Facilitates the on-boarding process. Conducts new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of company policies/procedures.

Verifies I-9 documentation and work authorizations through E-Verify. Processes employee life cycle changes (e.g. hires, promotions, transfers, title/schedule changes), including drafting appropriate communications

and updating files in HRIS. Assists the Director of Human Resources and HR Managers in one or more of the following as assigned: Administration of employee benefits programs for employees and retirees including health, dental, and life insurance, the FSA program, COBRA compliance, and wellness programs; Handles and resolves employee relations concerns and complaints Develops online and in-person training programs for supervisors, managers, and other employees, including training required by law, and delivers training as appropriate; Carries out Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity policies and reporting Collects data, and creates, updates and maintains spreadsheets, databases and monthly reports; and Develops measures and metrics to monitor efficiency and effectiveness of Human Resources functions. Works cooperatively with all levels of personnel.

Develops a thorough working knowledge of union contracts, and company policies and procedures. Attends in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by the company. Assists in maintaining HRIS related databases.

Assists other departments and divisions with HR related functions as needed. Performs other Administrative related duties as assigned. Succession Planning & employee development initiatives Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a closely related field. An equivalent combination of education, certifications such as a PHR or SHRM-CP and work experience on a year for year basis can be substituted for the 4-year degree requirement. Minimum of four (3) years of experience in Human Resources related positions including talent acquisition, onboarding, and/or employee relations.

Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment. Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS applications, and MS Office (including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). High level of integrity and ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. Customer-focused and capable of relating well at all levels of the organization.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Valid Driver's License is required.

Individual may be required to travel in the course of their daily work. Must be able to handle confidential information. The ability to prioritize projects and to work both independently and in a team environment.

Flexible availability, including nights and weekends as needed to support a 3-shift 24/7/365 operation."
