Job description

Job Description The HRIS Analyst is responsible for assisting and supporting with projects and goals that align with a technology driven scope, as directed by the HRIS Manager, Sr. Director of HR and/or Assistant General Manager of Administration, for the development of CTtransit's Human Resources Department. Examples of Duties Input, edit, and track data metrics in HRIS system, as delegated by the HRIS Manager.

Assist with digitization projects as delegated by the HRIS Manager. Assist and run reports from HRIS System, NeoGov, and other databases as delegated by the HRIS Manager. Meet with HRIS Manager on a weekly basis to discuss the status of long-term and short-term HRIS projects.

Assist HRIS Manager with reporting metrics needed for Monthly Reports for CT DOT & RATP Dev USA KPI Reports (as needed). Audit HRIS email for change request, questions, concerns, etc. Escalate to HRIS Manager if urgent or pressing.

Assist the HRIS Manager in creating, updating, and implementing the regular use of HRIS data trackers through Microsoft Excel. Update information for digital storage and easy accessibility on the HR SharePoint sites. Assist with file centralization, digitizing and auditing projects as delegated by the HRIS Manager.

Assist HRIS Manager in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of all HR data within the HRIS systems. Assist the HRIS Manager in developing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures. Assist the HRIS Manager in developing and maintaining user documentation and support materials.

Sit in meetings with or for the HRIS Manager (if needed). Works cooperatively with all levels of personnel. Attends in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by CT transit, and/or as assigned by the HRIS Manager.

Will participate in the interview process, and the selection process for new positions as needed. Travel and provide support to other departments and divisions with HR, Finance and other administrative technology related functions as assigned. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications A bachelor's degree with major course work in HRIS, Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a closely related field and one (1) year of work experience related to HR systems is required. An equivalent combination of education and work experience on a year for year basis can be substituted for the 4-year degree requirement. Proficient experience with MS 365, Office (Excel) is a definite must.

Excellent attention to detail with a clear understanding of confidentiality and time sensitivity. Proficient in software programs (word processing, spreadsheet and database), Internet applications and utilization of relevant business equipment. Must be able to handle confidential information.

Must have some experience using Adobe, HRIS software, and Microsoft Suite. Must have the ability to quickly learn internal software programs, and new HRIS systems. The ability to prioritize projects and have excellent communication (especially verbal), interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to multitask, work for multiple managers, ability to conduct training when necessary. Customer-focused and capable of relating well at all levels of the organization.
