Job description

Johnson Service Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Management Specialist for a 12-month contract position in the Renton, WA area.

This position requires candidates to undergo an extensive background check as well as a drug screen. Candidates must not have any felony charges or convictions.

Selected candidates MUST be a United States Citizen / U.S. Person and MUST provide a DOB (MM/DD) and complete a Conflict of Interest form in order to be considered.

Job Title: Project Management Specialist II

Pay Rate: $57.19/hr

Location: Tukwila, WA (98108)

CANDIDATE MUST have  the ability and willingness to work across multiple sites in the local Puget sound area including Seattle, Tukwila, Renton and Everett.

Contract Length: 1 year, extension possible

Shift: 1st -  7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Description:

Boeing Test & Evaluation, Flight Test Instrumentation Design & Planning team is looking for a project management specialist to support active commercial and commercial derivative test programs.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Participates in maintaining, analyzing and producing metrics related to plans.
  • Assists more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plan and refining the business case.
  • Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates task, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
  • Coordinates document work statements and resulting schedules.
  • Identifies and provide reports on performance variances, project status, change information to project team.
  • Communicates plan changes and recovery plans to ensure commitment to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced excel skills - Ability to work with large data sets to consolidate status, generate metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of related work experience
  • People skills -Experience hosting meetings with engineering teams to collect status, document risks and issues.
  • Reporting - Experience putting together presentations on a weekly basis to convey performance to plan.
  • Experience presenting status to leadership - High level of presentation skills in the design field
  • Work location flexibility - Ability and willingness to work across multiple sites in the local Puget sound area including Seattle, Tukwila, Renton and Everett.
