Job description

DESE Research Inc. seeks a motivated and detail oriented Human Resources & Security Generalist to support HR operations with secondary responsibilities in Security. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment and enjoys being a key resource for employees, leadership, and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR matters.
  • Support the full hiring process, including recruitment coordination, new hire paperwork, orientations, and initial training activities.
  • Manage company social media content related to culture, communication, and recruiting.
  • Manage and maintain the UKG HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records.
  • Assist with required company and government reporting and audits.
  • Assist with managing employee benefits and open enrollment activities.
  • Support employee relations activities such as training through a learning management system, performance review coordination, and employment verification requests.
  • Assist with HR programs including employee events, recognition initiatives, tuition reimbursement and company newsletter.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support HR operations and organizational goals.

Security
  • Maintain employee clearance information and related records using DISS, NBIS, eAPP, SWFT, NCAISS, ACCS.
  • Assist with visit requests, CACs, CAC renewals, and badge management.
  • Support foreign travel briefings and debriefings.
  • Support security training activities and compliance tasks.
  • Support with front lobby duties such as assisting visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support security operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to demonstrate multitasking, comprehension, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Experience with benefit administration.
  • Experience recruiting activities.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Willingness to work outside typical job scope when needed in a dynamic small business environment.

Desired Qualifications:
  • DoD Security related experience
  • DoD Clearance
  • At least one year of experience with DISS, NBIS, eAPP, SWFT, NCAISS, ACCS, VARs, or CACs.
  • Experience with UKG and Deltek Costpoint; reporting experience preferred.
