Job Duties and Responsibilities

The People Analytics team seeks to empower data-informed decisions across the organization, transform HR technology tools, and create a world-class employee experience. As Echostar scales and optimizes its People Analytics function, this role bridges the gap between complex people data and overarching business strategy. The position focuses on developing processes, procedures, and data pipelines to convert raw HR metrics into clear visual stories. Through actionable analytics, leadership gains the visibility needed to solve critical workforce challenges, elevate employee engagement, and drive sustained business growth.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Design seamless integrations between standard HR systems and the cloud Snowflake environment; partner directly with the team on database architecture requirements
  • Develop and maintain robust data objects that power Python and Tableau product suites, providing actionable workforce insights
  • Drive department goals by creating impactful analytical solutions that resolve complex, unique business challenges
  • Leverage AI-driven automation tools to streamline the cleaning and manipulation of large datasets, accelerating data mart scaling and efficiency
  • Consult with HR Business Partners and executive leaders to translate raw metrics into strategic recommendations that advance company OKRs
Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Deep expertise in data integration, pipeline architecture, ETL processes, and complex data warehousing strategy
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities to address broad business challenges

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Natural Sciences (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of analytics-related experience and 2 years of experience presenting to executive leadership
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 5 years of experience with:
    • Advanced SQL coding
    • Tableau and/or Alteryx
    • Programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
