Job Summary

The Director, Lead-to-Order Transformation will lead the modernization of global pricing and contracting operations, transforming them from manual processes into a strategic, data-driven, AI-enabled enterprise capability.

Role Purpose

Lead the modernization of global pricing operations by transforming pricing from a manual operating function into a strategic, data-driven, AI-enabled enterprise capability. The role combines pricing strategy, execution discipline, governance, CPQ/quoting modernization, contract life cycle management , cloud architecture, API-first integration, SOX-compliant controls, and agentic AI delivery to improve margin realization, quote velocity, compliance, and sales productivity.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver lead to order transformation roadmap that includes contractual and transactional across operating model, governance, processes, data, controls, systems, analytics, and AI enablement.
  • Manage SOX controls and operations across various applications.
  • Budget Management
  • Lead a global team
  • Presentation to the business and SLT on the roadmap and progress in execution
  • Drive adoption of modern pricing, contractual capabilities across Pricing and contractual Operations, Deal Desk, Bid Desk, Sales, Category, Finance, Legal, and IT stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • 15+ years of experience across pricing, commercial operations, deal desk, CPQ, quote-to-cash, digital transformation, finance systems, enterprise technology, or related functions.
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience with ability to build, coach, and scale pricing, analytics, operations, and transformation teams.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale pricing, CPQ, quoting, ERP, CRM, analytics, AI, or revenue transformation programs.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders across Category, Sales, Finance, Legal, Pricing Operations, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Audit, and Executive Leadership.
  • Strong business acumen with P&L orientation, commercial judgment, analytical rigor, executive communication, and change leadership.

Technical Skills

CPQ / Quoting

  • Strong understanding of MSD , SAP CPQ, custom quoting platforms, pricing engines, product configuration, discount approvals, quote orchestration, CRM/ERP integration, contract pricing, Partner and Sales Compensation, and Lead to Order.

AWS Cloud

  • Working knowledge of EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Redshift, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, QuickSight, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Config, KMS, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and VPC/networking patterns.

API-First Architecture

  • Ability to lead reusable pricing APIs for price lookup, discount eligibility, quote generation, approval routing, product configuration, customer-specific pricing, margin calculation, contract pricing validation, and AI-based recommendations.

API Orchestration

  • Understanding of orchestration layers using API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, middleware, microservices, REST, GraphQL, event-driven architecture, versioning, throttling, security, monitoring, and lifecycle governance.

Agentic AI

  • Experience building or sponsoring agents using AWS Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, Bedrock Knowledge Bases, OpenAI models, RAG, embeddings, vector search, workflow tools, and human-in-the-loop controls for pricing and deal desk use cases.

CI/CD & DevSecOps

  • Understanding of Git-based delivery, automated build/test/deploy, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, blue/green deployments, canary releases, automated rollback, environment segregation, and release governance.

Data & Analytics

  • Ability to lead pricing analytics, elasticity, waterfall/mix analysis, customer/product hierarchy governance, data quality, master data controls, executive reporting, ML-driven recommendations, and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QuickSight, or equivalent.

SOX & Controls

  • Strong understanding of SOX 404, ITGC, access controls, change management, segregation of duties, audit trails, approval evidence, UAT, deployment evidence, emergency change governance, and pricing-specific controls.

The pay range for this role is$174,050to$278,450USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
