Position Summary

All Minnesotans deserve a safe place to call home. You can make a difference in your community by supporting people facing homelessness or housing insecurity.ย 

Join Heading Home Corps as a Housing Resource Navigator and you'll spend your days at a nonprofit organization or public agency that has a mission in housing advocacy, social services, and/or public assistance. We'll train you to help individuals obtain safe, stable housing and support you every step of the way!ย 

How does it work? You'll regularly meet with participants and provide guidance as they navigate resources, set housing-related goals, and develop action plans. With individually tailored support, you'll help people as they build brighter futures!ย ย

Essential Qualifications

By the time you begin your service with Heading Home Corps, you should be:

  • Dependable and have a history of good attendance
  • Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule, depending on the agreed upon hours commitment
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
  • 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Ability to succesfully complete a background check

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 program year. Positions run September 2026-July 2027.

  • 40 hours per week
  • Daytime hours
  • Monay - Friday
  • Time off on holidays

Part-time positions are also available at 25 hours per week!
