Assistant Property Manager

Paths is a full-scale, vertically integrated affordable housing developer, builder, and operator. With over 14,000 units across 13 states under management and more than 500 employees, Paths manages a suite of capabilities spanning the entire property life cycle, including development, construction, property management, maintenance, and security.

Summary/Objective:
The role of the Assistant Property Manager is to interact with tenants as you handle a variety of issues including collections, lease administration, and complaints. You will also ensure proper and timely maintenance of the property itself via visual inspections and coordination with the maintenance staff.

Classification: Non-exempt (overtime eligible)
Location: Clarkston, GA 30021

Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following

  • Conducting daily arrears collections, including resident visit follow-ups as needed
  • Overseeing the resident move-in and move-out process
  • Inspecting all units prior to move-ins and after all move-outs
  • Working in conjunction with maintenance staff on the administration of work order requests
  • Assisting the PM with conducting annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with Tax Credit Regulatory standards
  • Ensuring on-time collection and completion of all annual resident certifications
  • Processing new move-in packages
  • Preparing Section 8 packages for reviewing supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School diploma OR GED; Some college, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of Property Management, including experience with Section 8
  • Previous supervisory experience, a plus
  • Familiarity with affordable housing
  • Experience managing maintenance staff, a plus
  • Understanding of annual certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Yardi software experience a plus
  • Experience working with unions is a plus

Pay Range: $23.00 to $25.75 per hour
