Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Housekeeping Lead to support housekeeping operations on the SCAD campus in Savannah, Georgia. In this hands-on leadership role, you will help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming academic buildings, residence halls, and common areas while leading a team of custodians and housekeepers. You will assign daily work, inspect completed cleaning tasks, train team members, and help ensure quality standards are consistently met. This position is ideal for candidates with custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience who enjoy leading by example. The work environment is active and fast-paced, requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and reliable attendance. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities
   Assign and coordinate daily work schedules for housekeeping and custodial team members. 
   Monitor work performance and inspect completed cleaning tasks to ensure quality standards are met. 
   Lead, coach, and support team members while promoting accountability and productivity. 
   Train new employees and provide retraining as needed on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety standards. 
   Perform cleaning duties in classrooms, residence halls, offices, common areas, restrooms, and high-traffic campus spaces. 
   Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools. 
   Follow proper procedures for trash collection, disposal, and recycling. 
   Conduct quality inspections and address service or cleanliness concerns promptly. 
   Submit maintenance and repair requests through established work order processes. 
   Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and Aramark standards. 
   Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. 
   Secure equipment rooms and company assets as required.

Qualifications

Required
   Previous housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, hospitality, or facilities cleaning experience. 
   Strong communication and leadership skills. 
   Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable. 
   Ability to inspect work and maintain high cleaning and sanitation standards. 
   Ability to work independently with limited supervision. 
   Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safe chemical use, and housekeeping equipment. 
   Reliable attendance and punctuality. 
   Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk, and stand for extended periods. 
   Ability to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE). 
   Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, special events, and occasional overtime based on business needs. 
Preferred
   Prior housekeeping lead, supervisor, or team lead experience. 
   Experience working in higher education, hospitality, healthcare, or large facilities environments. 
   Experience conducting quality inspections and training employees.
