Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a daily inspection of all assigned rooms and updating the front desk.
  • Advise Housekeepers of VIP rooms, blocked rooms, and early make-ups.
  • Ensure Housekeeping staff use proper handling of hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, bed boards and daily roll-aways going to Team Leads section.
  • Ensure cleanliness and appearance of vending machine areas and guest elevator areas on the floor.
  • Report maintenance problems to engineering on proper forms, as well as coordination of special projects.
  • Report damage or theft of room items to Executive Housekeeper.
  • Implements plans for all housekeeping team members as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisors, Executive Housekeeper, the General Manager, and the Director of Hotel Operations.
  • Communicates priority department guest and group developments.
  • Assists with the daily opening and closing operations and morning briefings.
  • Performs monthly inventories for hotel operations and provides a recap of current monthly inventory levels and ordering needs.
  • Conducts safety audits of the hotel and ensures that all team members are following proper safety procedures. Addresses all unsafe conditions.
  • Adhere to basic house rules of all Team Members. Maintain standards and enforce discipline when needed.
  • Ensure the Executive Housekeeper is informed of progress and status of each area of responsibility.
  • Knowledgeable of the Indiana Gaming regulations as well as the company's internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
  • Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
  • Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Other duties may be assigned at any time.

Work Environment:
The Casino industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation. This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures. Occasional exposure to outdoor climates.
