About Our Family

We're a busy, warm, and organized family of four living in Seattle. Our household runs on intention, not chaos, and we've put a lot of thought into how things work. One parent keeps a steady office schedule while the other is in a flexible season, and together we're managing two young kids, camps, activities, weekly logistics, and everything that comes with a full household.

The mornings belong to us. The afternoons are where we need a partner.

From about 1:30 PM onward, the house becomes a moving target: pickups, dinner, kids' routines, laundry, grocery gaps, and the mental load of thinking three steps ahead. We have support in place (a long-time housekeeper and a bi-weekly chef), but what we're missing is a consistent, proactive presence who makes the whole machine run smoothly without being asked.

We love our kids deeply and want them to have a warm, steady presence in the home. We're a household that genuinely welcomes diversity and values people who bring their whole selves to their work. Occasionally, extended family may be in residence for longer visits and would be treated with the same respect as the parents of the household.

We are naturally private and value professionalism, discretion, healthy boundaries, and clear communication. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys bringing order to complexity, collaborating with the parent to create efficient systems, and ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.

Ultimately, we hope to find a long-term partner who provides peace of mind by managing the many moving parts of our home with care, consistency, and professionalismallowing our family to focus on work, travel, and time together, knowing everything is thoughtfully handled.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

Highly organized and naturally proactive, you create order, structure, and efficiency behind the scenes. You anticipate needs, identify solutions, and take thoughtful action without requiring constant direction. While Mom has already established many strong systems and processes, you will serve as a trusted partner who can seamlessly step into those existing workflows, support and enhance them where appropriate, and operate independently with minimal oversight. You understand when to take initiative, when to collaborate, and how to augment the family's efforts by bringing organization, follow-through, and thoughtful execution to the day-to-day management of the household.

You bring a calm, professional presence and understand how to work respectfully within a private household. Discretion, sound judgment, and clear communication are second nature to you. You maintain healthy boundaries, keep the family appropriately informed, and confidently manage responsibilities with a high degree of independence and accountability. You understand professional expectations. You communicate clearly and respectfully, and you have the emotional intelligence to read the room and recognize when the family is focused on work, personal commitments, or simply needs space. You exercise good judgment, know when to take initiative, and approach situations with a solutions-oriented mindset. Your professionalism, discretion, and service-oriented nature allow you to support the family seamlessly while helping life run more smoothly behind the scenes.

You have a natural warmth with kids. You're the kind of person kids gravitate toward because you're steady and genuine, not because you're putting on a show. You're kind but firm when you need to be, patient always, and you don't bring loud energy into a home that runs better calm.

You approach situations with a solutions-oriented mindset, bringing thoughtful recommendations rather than simply identifying problems. Service is at the core of how you operate, and it shows in your professionalism, discretion, and commitment to making life easier for the family.
