Household Manager
Location: Newcastle, WA 98059
Employment Type: Part-time, 8-12 hours per week
Schedule: Two days per week: Monday- Friday, flexible hours between 8:00AM and 4:00PM
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour, based on experience

About Our Family
We are a lovely and dynamic household of four with two young children (5 and 3). Both parents maintain full schedules, with one working from home part of the week and the other in a demanding office role that includes sporadic travel. When we're not working, you'll find us enjoying time together as a family. Our home operates on structured routines, but household management falls heavily on the primary parent, creating a need for reliable support. We value someone who can seamlessly manage household responsibilities and help maintain an organized, calm, and functional environment.
We're looking for someone who feels like a trusted member of our team, someone who can step in when needed, take initiative, and help keep things organized. You communicate directly and efficiently, thrive in environments with varying demands, and are comfortable around children for occasional backup care. You have a jack-of-all-trades mindset, are trustworthy for unsupervised home access, and are eager to help create a smoother daily rhythm for the family.
You should enjoy cooking and meal prep (especially dinner time), as well as organizing and maintaining systems that allow our home to function smoothly. You'll also be flexible and adaptable when it comes to our changing schedules and priorities, helping us manage daily tasks and family adventures.
With strong attention to detail, you take pride in supporting home organization and performing daily resets to ensure the household remains tidy and welcoming. You're highly organized and intuitive, able to anticipate the family's needs and adapt to their ever-changing schedules. You are comfortable with the responsibility of managing routines and staying on top of daily tasks ensuring everything runs smoothly.
You are someone who is self-directed, takes ownership of your responsibilities, and is open to feedback and personal growth as you help maintain the flow of a dynamic family household.

Key Responsibilities:Family Support & Child Assistance
- Occasional support with pick-ups/drop-offs
- Light supervision / back-up childcare
Household Management & Organization
- Create and Maintain household organization systems
- Daily resets and prep home for cleaners
- Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas)
- Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
- Event/holiday/guest prep
Meal Planning & Prep
- Batch cook 2-3 dinners per week
- Prep healthy snacks/fruit bowls
- Kitchen clean-up and maintenance
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
- Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards)
- Refresh garage/mudroom/entry
- Organizational projects (toys, gear)
Inventory & Errands
- Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
- Manage running household supply lists
- Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
- Returns, gift shopping
- Breakdown boxes
Laundry & Linen Care
- Wash/fold/organize laundry
- Linen and towel rotation
- Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
