Job description

We are seeking an experienced House Manager/Houseman for our team who will conduct site inspections and miscellaneous tasks for a large residence in Palm Beach Gardens. The Houseman will support the overall needs of the family with direction from the Estate Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with managing the equipment, systems, and daily functions of the property
  • Perform daily inspections of the property & equipment
  • Conduct and/or contract general repairs when needed
  • Perform and oversee routine and scheduled maintenance of property including but not limited to painting, garbage removal, outdoor cleaning, landscapers, A/V and other house systems
  • Interface and manage vendors related to the function of the house
  • Lock/open property at the beginning and end of each day or as directed by Property Manager
  • Respond to emergency calls
  • Assist with special events
  • Receive, log, and open packages
  • Run various errands
  • Organize and manage storage units
  • Ensure the readiness of the property for family's use
  • Provide daily status reports to Property Manager
  • Provide miscellaneous support to the overall needs of the family
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience doing similar work
  • College degree preferred but not required based on related experience level
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed and especially during peak season
  • Willingness to work at any of the family's properties (travel) when needed including extended overnight stays
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills. Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during demanding periods with a real sense of urgency
  • Proactive, motivated and "can do" attitude
