A leading biotechnology company is seeking an R&D Digital Tools and Automation Specialist to provide operational support for enterprise R&D systems, streamline business processes, and drive automation initiatives that improve productivity and efficiency across global research and development teams.
R&D Digital Tools and Automation Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Execute and manage R&D system requests while providing timely technical and operational support for enterprise business applications, ensuring compliance with regulated R&D processes and enabling scientists and engineers to focus on product development activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more complex R&D business applications while developing specialized expertise in records management, lab data, change requests, and related operational processes to support high-accuracy execution and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to deliver responsive, professional, and customer-focused support while anticipating user needs, troubleshooting operational issues, and maintaining service excellence across diverse organizational environments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, digitization, automation, and AI-driven operational enhancements by analyzing workflows, reducing manual administrative tasks, and supporting the development or application of automation tools and AI solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness by maintaining detailed operational records, supporting data retrieval activities, adhering to established procedures, and executing complex tasks with strong attention to detail and process discipline.

R&D Digital Tools and Automation Specialist Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, technical support, system administration, or related enterprise systems support environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, business, or related discipline.
  • Experience with enterprise business applications such as Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), or Project Management tools is preferred.
  • Experience with data structures, databases, automation, scripting, AI prompt engineering, or AI agent development is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, Cornerstone, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new software systems, business processes, and operational workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to support global teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, customer service, troubleshooting, and process improvement skills.
  • Educational backgrounds such as Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Programming, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines are preferred.
