UMC is currently seeking a RN: Registered Nurse for The Shores, our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County.

The RN: Registered Nurse will be responsible for rendering professional nursing care to residents within the assigned nursing residence in support of medical care, pursuant to the objectives and policies of this community. Oversees nursing assistants and other nursing personnel according to New Jersey Nursing Standards for RN's as designated by the Director of Nursing/Designee. Provides for the emotional support of the residents by recognizing, understanding, and respecting their psychosocial, cultural, and religious and economic needs. Communicates with the residents, family, peers, and ancillary staff to promote quality care. Communicates and instructs or assists, as necessary, with activities of daily living, restorative nursing as outlined in the residents' care plan. Participates in the orientation and instruction of new nursing associates assigned to the resident.

Requirements for an RN: Registered Nurse:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.

  • Prior Long Term Care experience preferred.

  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
