Job description

Location: Danbury, CT

Schedule: Monday-Friday variable shifts from 7:45am- 5:30pm

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively. 
  • Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance. 
  • Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication � both verbally and via the EMR system 
  • Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals. 
  • Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols 
  • Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable. 7. Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit. 
  • Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients. 
  • Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable. 
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 
  • Maintains and Models the Organization�s values. 
  • Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance. 
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education: 

  • High School Diploma/EQUIVALENT

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel between practices as needed.
  • Manual: Some manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity
  • Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
  • Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
  • Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
