Job description

Location: Cerritos, CA (On site) | Type: Full Time | Hourly Range: $24-$30 per hour (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced Detailer / Paint Correction Technician to join our Reconditioning Department. This role focuses on high-quality vehicle presentation, including advanced surface correction work such as scratch removal and color sanding. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and delivering vehicles that meet dealership quality standards.
We're looking for someone who takes great pride in their work and has a guest-service approach to daily responsibilities.
What You'll Do:
  • Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
  • Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
  • Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
  • Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
  • Buffing exterior vehicle surfaces to restore finish quality
  • Polishing vehicles to achieve a high-gloss, showroom appearance
  • Removing light to moderate scratches and surface imperfections
  • Performing color sanding and paint refinement as needed
  • Completing full vehicle detailing and reconditioning for retail and wholesale units
  • Inspecting vehicles for quality assurance before delivery
  • Maintaining proper use and care of detailing tools and equipment
  • Working efficiently to meet department turnaround times
  • Ensuring all vehicles meet dealership presentation standards
  • Apply paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicles, using touch-up paint.

What You'll Need:
  • Full-time availability. You'll also need to be at least 18 years old
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and other machinery safely
  • Previous experience in automotive detailing with buffing, polishing, scratch removal, and color sanding
  • Strong understanding of vehicle surface finishes and paint correction techniques
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
