Job description

We are seeking a part-time or full-time Legal Assistant to immediately join our growing firm. The Legal Assistant will support one or two attorneys representing individuals, families, and business owners, mainly in the areas of estate planning, probate, estate, and trust administration. The Legal Assistant position requires a highly motivated, experienced candidate who can complete projects with a high degree of detail, efficiency, and professional excellence in a collegial environment.

Compensation:

$25 - $30 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written/verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with multiple team members confidently and respectfully, including attorneys and other staff
  • Ability to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment with accountability
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking and exercise initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications



Qualifications:
  • Experience in a legal assistant role, preferably within estate planning, probate, estate, and trust administration
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills to liaise confidently with attorneys and clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications to manage documents and correspondence efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with team members, including attorneys and support staff
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and initiative to solve problems and improve processes
  • Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy and professionalism in all tasks and communications
