Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Neuro Stepdown assignment in Columbus, Ohio.
This role supports a high-acuity neurological patient population within a specialized Brain and Spine hospital, requiring advanced monitoring, critical thinking, and strong neuro-specific clinical skills.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong Neuro Stepdown or Neuro PCU experience who are confident managing complex neurological conditions and working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 (1900-0730)
Rotating weekends and holidays required
Self-scheduling available
Floating required within hospital system
COMPENSATION
Weekly Gross: $2,359
Pay package includes taxable hourly wages and tax-free stipends when applicable
Locals accepted at same rate
CLINICAL FOCUS
Neuro surgery and neuro medical patient care
Stroke, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury
EVD and lumbar drain monitoring
Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
High-acuity neurological workflows

29-bed Neuro Stepdown / PCU
High-acuity neurological patient population
Specialized Brain & Spine hospital

Requirements

Minimum 2 years RN experience REQUIRED
STRONG Neuro Stepdown or Neuro PCU experience REQUIRED
NIHSS certification REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
EVD monitoring experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
ACLS and BLS REQUIRED
Epic charting experience REQUIRED
Ability to float within hospital system REQUIRED
Valid Compact or Ohio RN license REQUIRED at submission
Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program REQUIRED
Previous travel experience preferred
