Employment Law Attorney – Class, Collective & Wage/Hour

📍 Chicago, Illiniois (Hybrid options considered)
💼 Plaintiff-Side Practice

A well-established plaintiff-side employment firm is seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney with a strong background in class action or collective wage and hour litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful cases involving wage theft, misclassification, and employee rights under state and federal law.

What You’ll Do
  • Represent plaintiffs in class, collective, and wage/hour litigation under FLSA and state labor laws.

  • Provide legal counsel and strategy on wage compliance, overtime, and classification issues.

  • Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.

  • Support clients through administrative hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.

  • Review and update employment policies and compensation practices for compliance.

  • Stay current on changes in federal and state wage/hour law.

What You Bring
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active Illinois Bar license (required).

  • 3+ years of experience in employment law, with at least 2 years focused on wage/hour litigation.

  • Experience with class action or collective action litigation.

  • Strong understanding of FLSA, state wage laws, and employee classification.

  • Exceptional legal writing and research skills; trial or hearing experience preferred.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases and deadlines.

Compensation & Structure
  • Full-time salaried role with a competitive rate, commensurate with experience.

  • Flexible schedule; hybrid flexibility possible for the right candidate.

  • Collaborative plaintiff-side environment focused on meaningful results for workers.

If you’re a licensed Illinois attorney with proven success in wage and hour class action litigation — and you’re ready to take on high-impact work protecting employee rights — we’d love to hear from you.
