RCM HealthCare Travel is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for a local contract job in Richmond, California.

Occupational Therapist (In-Person) – 2 days per week

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour, based on experience

Location: Richmond, California 94806
Onsite Position - 2 days per week

Position Summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide in-person services to students in an educational setting. The Occupational Therapist works independently in designing and implementing treatment plans that support student success and functional participation within the school environment. This role includes direct therapy services, evaluations, consultation with staff and families, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement and developmental growth.

Responsibilities Schedule / Shift
  • School-year schedule

  • Part-time opportunities available

  • Contract length based on school assignment

Key Duties
  • Respond to requests for service and screen students to determine the need for referral and intervention

  • Conduct evaluations, gather and interpret assessment data, and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate evaluation findings with parents, staff, and instructional teams

  • Monitor student progress, modify interventions as needed, and document treatment outcomes and follow-up services

  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student success and transition planning

Requirements Education
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

Licenses & Certifications
  • Required: Current Occupational Therapist license/certification in the State of California

  • Possession of a valid certificate of registration issued by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)

  • Valid California driver's license

Skills
  • Minimum of two years of occupational therapy experience with a primary focus on pediatric clients preferred

  • Knowledge of child growth and development, common disabling conditions, and occupational therapy practices for infants, children, and youth

  • Ability to administer assessments, interpret evaluation data, and develop effective intervention strategies

  • Strong understanding of educational methodologies, collaboration practices, and school-based service delivery
