Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) in providing technical guidance and analysis for cyber workforce statutory and policy reporting. In this role, you will leverage data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting expertise to support decision-making, improve compensation programs, and enhance workforce visibility and insights.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies and analyses of cyber compensation trends in the private and public sectors at occupational and work role levels.
  • Support analytic capabilities for tracking cyber personnel and positions across the workforce.
  • Provide recommendations to improve existing compensation programs, including Market Supplement and Supplemental Policy Oversight and Management.
  • Provide technical expertise in designing, enhancing, and evaluating the cyber compensation program.
  • Support data acquisition, governance, privacy protection, and sustainment of workforce data models.
  • Implement enhancements to data models to align with emerging policy and program requirements.
  • Support the full lifecycle of data engineering activities, including manpower, personnel, and qualification data sources, improving accessibility and quality of DCWF data.
  • Sustain and enhance Business Intelligence (BI) analytics dashboards to support data-driven decisions and oversight.
  • Incorporate persona-based input and scoping into analytics dashboard development efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., data analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics, or similar)
  • 5 years of professional experience in data analytics, workforce analysis, or related roles supporting federal, military, or defense organizations. Experience should include:
    • Conducting workforce or compensation data analyses
    • Supporting BI dashboards and reporting for policy or program oversight
    • Working with structured data sources and data governance practices

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience working at the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) level
  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint development and administration
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and workloads in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects from conception to completion
  • Highly motivated professional with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
