Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Junior People Business Partner to support our growing operations in Spain. Based in Valencia, you will partner with business leaders and managers to deliver people initiatives, support employee relations activity, and help drive a positive and high-performing culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to take the next step into a strategic partnering role while gaining exposure to an international, fast-paced business environment.

This role also offers a clear development opportunity, with the potential to broaden its scope over time to include responsibility for HR administration and people operations support across Portugal, providing valuable exposure to a wider Iberian remit.

Key responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Support managers and leaders across Spain with day-to-day people matters.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Assist with organisational change projects, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to support workforce planning and organisational design activities.

Employee Experience

  • Promote employee engagement initiatives and support action planning following engagement surveys.
  • Coach managers on best practice people management and leadership approaches.
  • Support talent reviews, succession planning and career development initiatives.

Talent & Performance

  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support hiring and onboarding activities.
  • Support managers in setting performance expectations and managing performance improvement plans.
  • Assist with learning and development programmes across the region.

Data & Analytics

  • Analyse people metrics including attrition, absence, engagement and organisational trends.
  • Produce insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR reporting.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Spanish employment legislation and company policies.
  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams where required.
  • Act as the Equality Plan Officer, supporting the monitoring and reporting of the organisation's Equality Plan and associated employment obligations.
  • Serve as the primary local point of contact for employee representative bodies and trade unions, supporting effective consultation, communication and relationship management.
Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations or HR Business Partnering.
  • Strong understanding of Spanish employment legislation.
  • Fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English.
  • Experience advising managers on people matters.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical mindset with strong Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting multiple sites or regions.
  • Experience within a multinational or matrix organisation.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field.
  • Professional HR qualification or equivalent.
  • Additional European language skills.
